Matt

Matt is one of our BJJ black belts and head coach of our children’s program, he first found Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2009 when looking for martial arts classes in London.

As soon as he participated in his first class he was hooked by both the technical nature of Jiu-Jitsu and by the intensity of the sparring which is a fundamental part of each Jiu-Jitsu class.

Having always competed in sports from a young age, Matt found a new passion in the competitive nature of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is still an active competitor.

Black belt competition:

2021 UKBJJA English Open – Silver

2022 UKBJJA English Open – Bronze

2022 South East Open – Silver

2023 IBJJF London International Open – Gold

Mark

Mark is our Muay Thai coach as well as one of our BJJ black belts.

Mark started training Muay Thai in 1991 as a teenager and following the trend in the early days of uk MMA Mark transitioned to mixed martial arts around 2001 which introduced the submission grappling/BJJ element to his training. After training in MMA/CSW for a number of years Mark decided to concentrate on Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu which he continues to train and teach on a regular basis.
Mark has a passion for health, fitness and martial arts and enjoys pushing himself and students to be the best that they can be.

Juan

Juan is one of our BJJ brown belts and admirer of true “Arte suave”  technique over strength, and mobility over power. Juan started his BJJ Journey on a holiday visit to Gracie academia on Botafogo Rio de Janeiro, in 1999 and has since trained under several affiliations including RGA uk, Fabricio Pereira Spain, Erosion BJJ Spain and then Revolution Martial Arts.
